Pink, White and Grey
I think sometimes painting can be a performance for me, the outcome being somewhat irrelevant but the process being the main part. I love using big broad marks quickly creating a mass of form and shape then using colour to pick out certain parts. I like to go heavy with the white to block out parts of the painting and I am then able to control what the viewer can see and cannot see. There is a definite beginning, middle and end to the piece. Pink, white and grey was painted on scrap wood as I hate to see things go to waste.
